Barton Cup Team
Congratulations to our Barton Cup warriors on a great win over Killeen Castle, and their progression to the Quarter Final.
Well done to Tony Cully and his team. Paul Mooney, Darren Dunphy, Dave Smith, Dave Fagan, Ross Kenny, Joe Healy, Billy Farrell, John Byrne, Geoff Murphy and Peadar McCormack played superb golf to run out winners by 4.5 to 0.5 against a very strong Killeen Castle team. The standard of golf was extremely high with one match having 3 birdies and 2 pars in the first 5 holes in very difficult conditions. Best of luck to the lads in the next match.

After a fantastic 2016 championship at The K Club, Kildare where Rory McIlroy produced two incredible shots in the last three holes to secure victory, the host will defend his title as the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open heads to Northern Ireland for the third time in six years.
Located near Royal Portrush which staged the event in 2012, the European Tour is bringing one of its most popular tournaments back to Antrim with large crowds expected to flock once again.
Set on Ulster’s stunning Causeway Coast, Portstewart features three 18-hole layouts, with the Des Giffin-designed Strand Course — which will host the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open in 2017 — considered the jewel in the crown. Enhanced in 1986 on natural links land known as ‘Thistly Hollow’, the Strand Course has hosted numerous amateur tournaments including The Amateur Championship in 2014.
